One of the most common planning questions is how many tables to book. The right number depends on your guest count and how many people you expect to play at once.
Start With the 70% Rule
Plan seating positions for about 70% of your total guest count, since not everyone plays at the same time. Some guests will watch, mingle, or step away from the tables during the night.
General Guidelines by Group Size
For around 50 guests, most groups do well with two to three tables and a mix of two or three games. For around 100 guests, plan for four to six tables so you have enough seating positions during peak play. For around 200 guests, most events run eight or more tables across a wider mix of games to keep wait times short.
These are starting points, not fixed rules. Your venue size, the mix of games you choose, and how competitive your group is can all shift the right number up or down.
Know Your Seat Counts
A single blackjack table seats up to 7 players, a poker table seats around 9 to 10, roulette fits a group around the layout, and craps takes a crowd around the rail. Mixing 2 to 3 games is usually enough for most parties.
